Payment Policy
We accept cash, zelle/venmo and all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX). We do not accept personal checks. For your convenience, payments are collected on-site upon completion of your service!
Our crew loves making you smile! If you'd like to show them some extra appreciation, they can accept tips via cash, Venmo, or Zelle. Unfortunately, we can't add tips to credit/debit card payments.
Truck sizing
We have 18ft, 20ft, and 22ft trucks available to handle moves of any size. Typically, an 18ft truck is perfect for studios and 1-2 bedroom apartments, while our 20ft to 22ft trucks are ideal for 2-3 bedroom homes. For larger 4+ bedroom homes or commercial projects, we generally deploy two trucks.
Rest assured, we carefully size the vehicle to your specific job during the quoting process, so you won't have to worry about the hassle of a second trip.
Discounted Rate
Looking to save a little extra? We offer a discounted hourly rate depending on how you choose to pay! While credit and debit cards are billed at our standard rate, you can unlock savings by paying with [Venmo, Zelle or Cash]. We'll always give you a quote for both options upfront so you can decide what works best for your budget. (Just a quick heads-up: we are unable to accept personal checks.)
A note on pianos
We do not move grand pianos, hot tubs, pool tables and jacuzzis. For other heavy or oversize items (hot tubs, sheds, pool tables & oversized gun safes) contact A-1 Piano Movers directly.
Quality Assurance
Our trucks come equipped with several dozen thick, double quilted furniture pads to protect your items while they are in our care.
They are also stocked with:
- Tools for basic disassembly and reassembly
- Dollies and hand trucks
- Floor runners for the rainy season
Just let us know in advance and we'll roll the runners onto the truck for your move.
Valuation
We offer three types of valuation on moving day. Choose the level of protection that's right for you before we load the truck.
1. Basic Value Protection
Free of charge. Compensation is $0.60 per pound for a damaged item.
2. Replacement Cost Coverage, with deductible
We will repair the damage to your satisfaction, pay you for the lost or damaged articles (less the $300 deductible), or replace the lost or damaged article for any amount over the $300 deductible. The $300 deductible applies to the entire shipment rather than each article. This level of coverage costs $1.42 per $100 of declared value.
3. Replacement Cost Coverage, with no deductible
We will repair damage to your satisfaction, reimburse you for the replacement cost, or replace lost or damaged articles. This level of protection costs $1.88 per $100 of your declared value of the entire shipment.
