How are your rates structured?+
We do bill by the hour, so you will only be billed the actual time we spend conducting your move versus the estimated cost.
There are a number of variables that are involved in a move which can potentially increase or decrease a job's length.
We prefer to give conservative bids rather than overly optimistic moving estimates.

Do you offer midweek discounted hourly rates for Seattle moves?+
We sure do! We are currently running major promotional rates for May and June, plus exclusive extra discounts for specific midweek slots. Space is limited, so let us know your preferred dates and we'll secure the best deal for you!
When does the clock start and stop?+
To keep things simple and fair, we charge a flat 15 to 20 minutes each way to cover our round-trip travel time for local moves.
Once we're on the job, we prorate our time to the quarter hour so you only pay for the time we use. If you have any questions at all about our rates, just let us know, we're happy to help!
Do you move pianos?+

What size truck will you bring?+
Tight spaces? No problem. Seattle Best Moving Company maintains a diverse fleet of trucks specialized to navigate awkward driveways, low-clearance parking garages, short loading bays, and narrow Seattle & Bellevue alleyways.
Can you give me a flat-rate or guaranteed price?+
For local moves we use honest hourly rates because they almost always work out cheaper than padded flat rates. For long distance moves we quote a flat rate based on weight, distance, and crew size.
How far in advance should I book?+
We ask for as much notice as you can give us, especially around the end of the month and through the summer. That said, we do same day and next day moves often, so call us even if it feels last minute.
Do you offer packing services?+

Do you provide moving labor only (no truck)?+
Yes. If you have a rental truck, POD, or container, we can load or unload it for you on the same hourly basis.
Will the same crew show up that I spoke with?+
Our team is in-house, so yes, the people who arrive at your door work for Seattle's Best Movers, not a contractor. You'll often see the same faces if you book with us again.
